JIU-JITSU FOR EVERYONE®
Nurturing Confidence Discipline and Fun
At Gracie Barra West Anaheim, we recognize the pivotal stage that ages 10-14 represent in a child’s development. Our Jiu Jitsu Classes for Juniors and Teens are specifically designed to harness this critical time, helping pre-teens and young teens build character, resilience, and confidence.
Our program goes beyond martial arts. For students ages 10-14, it’s a structured path to mastering self-discipline, accountability, teamwork, and leadership skills. In each class, your child will face new challenges that encourage growth, both mentally and physically, preparing them for real-world situations.
The lessons learned in our Jiu Jitsu Classes extend well beyond the mats, positively shaping their actions, attitudes, and relationships at school and home. By joining our program, your child isn’t just training—they’re laying the foundation for a lifetime of confidence and strong character.
At Gracie Barra West Anaheim, our Family Jiu-Jitsu program is crafted to unite families through the practice of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. This program not only teaches essential self-defense and promotes physical fitness but also deepens family connections by encouraging shared learning and growth. To support our commitment to family learning, we offer a special family discount, making it easier for entire families to become part of our community. It’s the perfect mix of fun, learning, and quality time—at an unbeatable value.

Jiu-Jitsu Develops Character and Strength in Kids
At Gracie Barra West Anaheim, we know that martial arts training gives juniors and teens more than just physical skills. Our classes teach important values like respect, persistence, and discipline, helping young learners understand that their actions—inside and outside the dojo—shape their character and lead them to success.
Along with learning martial arts, our students gain valuable life skills like coordination, balance, teamwork, focus, confidence, leadership, and a strong sense of self-worth.
We make sure they’re ready not just for the mat, but for whatever life throws their way.
Supporting Your Youth and Teen’s Journey
Teens may sometimes seem more defiant than respectful, but at our martial arts school, respect is key. Students are taught to consistently show respect to instructors and peers, both in and out of the dojo. Through martial arts, they learn that self-respect is the foundation for earning the respect of others.
With so much time spent on screens, it’s easy for teens to lose touch with physical activity and real-life connections. At Gracie Barra West Anaheim, our martial arts classes offer a fun and active break from screens. Kids and teens challenge themselves, make real friends, and build confidence, discipline, and lasting friendships.
No prior experience is necessary. Our Jiu Jitsu classes for juniors and teens are beginner-friendly, offering a welcoming environment where your junior or teen can learn the fundamentals from the ground up.
